Gensets

Definition

A Gen-set stands for “Generator Set” and Refers to : Diesel generator, a combination of diesel engine and electric generator.

Generator Sets (“Gensets”) are portable diesel fueled generators are used to power refrigerated containers mounted on chassis or rail cars (when a reefer is carried on a containership, it is usually plugged into the containership’s main power supply).

Gensets are perfectly suited to provide reefer and insulated containers with a constant power supply.

We offer our clients out of a wide range of gensets of every brand and of every possible type. Most common are the clip-on and underslung gensets. Our gensets are available for sale as well as for short / long term lease.

The major aim for gensets is to close the clod chain during the transportation of the named cargoes.

Lease gensets

Leasing may be a solution that fits your demands. We have both types in our lease program through tailor made contracts, for short, medium or long term. The underslung however is due to availability.

Our gensets are in good to excellent condition. To facilitate our customers, we can also arrange transport at reasonable costs.

Usage

During the Export or Import process the Genset generate electricity during the way back trip for a full reefer container from/to shipper’s premises and loaded with Perishables such as vegetable, fresh food and fruits, pharmaceuticals and so on.

During the Import Process it generates electricity for the reefer container loaded with fruits, fish, meet,…etc.”
